Saturday Shopping

Today Matt and I had a day of errand-running, so I threw on something comfy-cozy and headed out the door! I just bought this duster sweater from a local boutique in Cotati, and I had to get some wear-time! It’s a beautiful oatmeal color, and it’s SO comfy. More details below! We haven’t spent some time together in a while, so it was nice to get out together and run around town. We went to pick up my wedding ring from the jewelers, as I hadn’t had it cleaned in over a year! (shh…).
We then ran some Christmas gifts errands for our out-of-towners so we could get them in the mail to make it by Christmas. Tonight we’re going to be baking some cookies and watching TV together! Honestly, it has been so long since we could actually spend time with each other. I’m constantly working or at school so our schedules haven’t lined up for a while. I’m so excited to be spending some one-on-one quality time with the hubs.
OK back to business. This is my FIRST outfit post on The Down Low! I’m so excited / nervous / shy / impressed about this. I’m a photographer, so I’m usually behind the camera, not in front of it. So if I look a little tense, that’s why! I also got a photo-op with my BFF Sadie, so she loosened the tension up a little bit, dontcha think?
I was at a local boutique last week and I found this gorgeous oatmeal cardigan sweater. I’m naturally drawn to neutral items (can you tell?), so I told myself that I had to have this one. I’m pretty picky about my sweaters because I don’t like the sleeves super baggy. They always end up getting in the way or getting wet… weird, I know. But these sleeves are perfect! It’s also the best sweater for any time of year… the color is so versatile- so it was an easy purchase! Also, I’m living in these jeans… I wear them probably x3 times a week. The knee slits are a great touch, but these are also super stretchy and comfortable. They can be dressed up & down, which is something I love about distressed denim. I’ve linked these below!

LOVING this hat and bag combo! The perfect mix of edgy / classy.
World, meet Sadie. My one-and-only golden retriever. I love her more than life itself. Really, I do. Ask anyone.
I have to tell you… I bought these Lucky Brand Mules during Nordstrom’s Black Friday Sale and I’ve worn them every. single. day. since I received them in the mail. They are seriously the BEST mules I’ve owned (and I own a few pairs… lol). I highly recommend these shoes to anyone looking for a casual shoe. They have a small bit of a heel, so you get that “clacking” sound, but nothing too obnoxious. They look so chic styled with jeans and a tee (like I did here), or with black trousers and a blazer. Either way, you can’t go wrong with these bad boys. Plus. they’re still on sale! Get ’em while you can!
I hope everyone is having a great weekend! Christmas is almost here… eek!!
