Stylish Work-Wear | Boyfriend Blazer

If you read my first blog post, you’d know that I love a good blazer- and keep really good care of one. I’ve never met a blazer I didn’t like. Well, this blazer has been my favorite go-to power jacket for work and play. I bought this at Target a few months ago when it was 500 degrees outside, and now that the weather is getting cooler here in California, it’s now the perfect temperament to wear this bad boy (girl?). It’s technically considered a boyfriend blazer, but I don’t get into the nitty-gritty details. All I really want you to know about this jacket is that it’s cute, versatile, and so super stylish.
One of the things I love most about this jacket is that it’s long so you can layer it over leggings to cover your butt or have a more masculine-look by pairing it with a slouchy tee, boyfriend jeans, and sneakers. Today, I paired it with a black bouse (also Target), black skinny jeans, and… mules. More. Mules. Thanks, Target.

…should have steamed my shirt…
Okay, so true story… I’m totally NOT comfortable in front of the camera. I’m usually the photographer, not the subject. So the fact that these photos came out the way they did… #godsend #thanksaubrey!
ANYWAYS. Moral of this blog post is that this blazer is the sh$%.
Now, onto the mules. Now I found this pair of mules at…. yep! Target- for $15! Too good to pass up. I’m loving the gold horse-bit detail and faux leather. They’re pretty comfortable and such a great closet staple, much like this jacket. What I love about these mules – and mules in general – is that they’re so stylish and on-trend right now, it’s hard to pass up. This is a trend that I’ve jumped on and am prepared to hang onto tightly! I own probably 6 pairs now, and each one I have a different relationship with. (Is that weird?).
I personally think everyone should have at least one black pair of mules in their shoe rack. They’re great for running errands, styling with a blazer for work, or kicking back with ripped boyfriend jeans and a band tee. Whatever your occasion, you’re sure to have a mule on your side.
So, if I’ve persuaded you by now, below are the links to shop this look! Let me know what you think of this outfit and if you’d wear it!
As always, thank you for tuning in!
