Saturday Shopping

Today Matt and I had a day of errand-running, so I threw on something comfy-cozy and headed out the door! I just bought this duster sweater from a local boutique in Cotati, and I had to get some wear-time! It’s a beautiful oatmeal color, and it’s SO comfy. More details below! We haven’t spent some time together in a while, so it was nice to get out together and run around town. We went to pick up my wedding ring from the jewelers, as I hadn’t had it cleaned in over a year! (shh…). We then ran some Christmas gifts errands for our out-of-towners so we could get them in the mail to make it by Christmas. Tonight we’re going to be baking some cookies and watching TV together! Honestly, it has been so long since we could actually spend time with each other. I’m constantly working or at school so our schedules haven’t lined up for a while. I’m so excited to be spending some one-on-one quality time with the hubs. OK back to business. This is my FIRST outfit post on The Down Low! I’m so excited / nervous / shy / impressed about this. I’m a photographer, so I’m usually behind […]

I’m doing this out of the kindness of my own heart, and I hope you guys love it! I loved gathering all of this stuff, and to be honest, I want to enter my own giveaway, too! Keep reading to learn how to win!   As you’ll learn about me, I’m a HUGE fan of Christmas. It’s my favorite holiday, ever. I just love the spirit of Christmas and spending time with the ones you love most. I could spend all day watching Christmas movies and listening to Christmas music, and have definitely fallen guilty to both of those things! Since the holidays have turned into a  “buy buy buy” holiday, I decided to take a step back and give back this holiday to one of you! I appreciate every one of you who reads (if there’s anyone out there?) so I wanted to show my appreciation through […]

Four Ways to Show Gratitude this Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is just around the corner. Did it sneak up on everyone, or just me? I often find myself caught up in the hustle and bustle of the season and become preoccupied with gifts, hosting, and working (a lot!). This year, I’m making more of a conscious effort to be still and to remember to stop and be thankful for my health, my life, and everyone around me. The holiday seasons are getting more and more shifted into retail holidays instead of celebrating the reason for the holidays: each other. I am a huge advocate for spending time with family and just being with one another. I, myself, am guilty of getting caught up in the things that don’t matter. And before starting a family of my own, I want to get in a better habit of spending quality time with my husband, friends, and family. This year, I want to share my ideas on how to show gratitude this Thanksgiving, and to remind everyone just how important the holidays really are.   B E   T H A N K F U L . . . 1. Donate Food (or $) to a Local Food Bank The company […]
